Biographies of Herati woman poetsSenawbar’s last name is Hajeza (innocent). Her father’s name was Sayyed Abdullah and her grandfather was known as Mir Sufi. Her sister, Maryam Kanizak, was also a poet and the sisters read their poems to each other. Senawbar Hajeza was a resident of Kerkh, Herat, in the early 1900s. Most of her poems are Sufism, praising God and his prophet. Her poetry collections are speaking about passion towards God. |
